Choose the Celebrant that you wish to use.
As an Independent Celebrant, I differ from a minister or a Humanist celebrant, as am able to offer Celebration of Life services with religious or spiritual elements, or services with no such elements.
VARIETY OF FORMATS - TRADITIONAL AND MORE UNUSUAL - including:
-symbolic ceremonies eg. metaphors such as train or tree of life
-stories/tributes out of the hat
-'life snapshots' from near and dear
-traditional details about life, love & achievements
-life told through readings and music.
My funeral services are written after hours of listening to what the person planning their own funeral, or the family of the deceased person, want. I believe that the focus should be more on the life lived, people loved and achievements (whether large or small).
In all cases, I work with tact and sensitivity.
Each life celebration needs to be as unique as each person truly is. I do not believe in 'cut and paste' funeral services, so I limit the number of bookings I will take so that I can totally concentrate on each family. Service locations and content can also be very different from one person to another. It is totally your choice which celebrant you use -- a good Funeral Director will make it clear to you that the choice of celebrant is your choice totally; if you wish to use me, simply let the Funeral Director have my contact details if they do not have them already.
Having had experience in my own family of funerals from home and natural burials, I also am happy to provide services in non-standard situations or venues, and suggestions for lovely, venues for amazing memorial services if a direct funeral cremation* is chosen. (* a lower cost, no service and limited/ non attended cremation service).
Celebrations of Life can be magical, irrespective of budget.
If you are unsure where to start even planning, feel free to get in contact - I am happy to help.
My final Celebration of Life service will arise after:
I do my best to keep loved ones informed and confident about what will happen on the day of the service, and I carefully liaise with Funeral Directors where needed.
PLANNING YOUR OWN CELEBRATION OF LIFE / WISHLISTS
If you wish, I can also help you to plan ahead for what happens after your death in terms of your end of life service -- whether you choose to use a Celebrant or a Minister. You and your loved ones can live life to the full, not worrying about arrangements and choices after you die, as often it is very difficult for families to make decisions when they are grieving.
If you need it, I have advice & information readily available to help you with:
Funeral Service Music & Readings - suggestions of what might be included in your service script.
Funeral Plan & Providers - outlines of options and introductory information from trusted Funeral Directors who can advise you.
Other Aspects of Ceremonies - trusted Venues, Music providers, Caterers, Florists, etc...
Will Writing & Power of Attorney - these are important documents, and I can provide you contacts for experienced professionals.

Celebrations of Life/Funeral Services
'With her patience, diligent but sensitive gathering of information & her sympathetic approach to the whole process, Ana made a difficult time much easier than expected. The service went wonderfully, getting compliments from friends & family for weeks afterwards. Funerals are supposed to be a celebration of life & this one most certainly was, thanks Ana.' Ian
