  • A personal, detailed & unique service and vows. Every service is bespoke, not a generic option; I get to know you
  • Your guests won't be kept waiting whilst you complete legalities - legal elements are separate.
  • You may, if you wish, have religious or spiritual prayers or readings which a Registrar cannot allow.
  • More options for symbolic elements such as hand-fasting, broom-jumping, sand-blending etc...
  • Free scope to have all elements of the service filmed or photographed.
  • Scope for any outdoor wedding service, or any non-Licensed venues (& budget options).
  • If you are delayed, I usually only book one wedding a day so I'm happy to wait for you!
  • I happily help with briefing guests pre-service, and help organise confetti configurations after the service etc...

'We used Ana for our wedding last month and could not be happier! She really took time to get to know us and worked with us to create a wedding ceremony that was personal for us as a couple, down to every detail. Nothing was too much and she went above and beyond. We are absolutely over the moon with how it went. Thank you Ana!'

Hi Ana!
Just a quick message from our “minimoon” in Cheltenham! [😃]

Just like to say thank you so much for everything you did  not only on the day but the lead up to the big day as well!

I’m pretty sure without your calming presence and gentle nudges we would have been even more lost and generally confused before the ceremony! You were brilliant, and we both really appreciate everything you did!
Thanks again

 Beautiful & Bespoke Ceremonies

Amazing Wedding and Vow Renewal Services

'Well you reduced us both to tears - my God you’re good ! It’s absolutely beautiful - thank you so much'.

ALL of my clients love my bespoke Wedding and Vow Renewal services!

From the mad, quirky or funky, with symbolic elements, to the more serious and traditional service, I attentively listen and cater to YOUR needs, so that you have a beautiful, unique service totally reflecting your relationship and story. I'm a bit quirky too; I love to laugh but I’m also calm and focussed, ensuring your whole service runs smoothly.

Although an ex-teacher and lecturer with an MA (Distinction) in English, I'm more than able to deliver effectively but I'm definitely not ‘preachy’ or school teacher-ish.
Caring for people, words, literature and delivery are my strong points. I even write or adapt poetry to suit your needs.

Connecting  with people from all walks of life is a total honour and I work without prejudice. It was amazing to be part of one of the first same-sex Canadian weddings in 2004; it had an English theme, with a fabulous blessing from ‘HRH Queen Elizabeth’!

Have a BEAUTIFUL ceremony with the heartfelt words of your choice in ANY venue you choose, either before or after a Registrar 'simple ceremony'. You are NOT obliged to use a Registrar for your ceremonial service, or use the Registrar's more elaborate suites and packages.

Hard-pressed Registrars are put under pressure to make money for councils - they sadly will never be given the time to make your ceremony as personal or bespoke as an Independent Celebrant will.

With a Celebrant, your beliefs  and creativity can be reflected in your ceremony and all lifestyles or orientations are embraced. And your guests' bottoms won't get numb sitting around waiting for the Registrar to check you are not being forced into marriage!

Did you know that only 41 basic words, in addition to your names, make your wedding legal in a £57 simple Registrar Ceremony with just two witnesses? All of the other ceremonial elements such as vows, rings, symbolic gestures such as handfasting etc... can take place with a Celebrant.

The 41 basic legal words are:

Declaratory Words:

I do solemnly declare that I know not of any lawful impediment why I (your name) may not be joined in matrimony to (partner's name)

Contracting words:

I call up these persons here present to witness that I (your name) do take thee (partner's name) to be my lawful wedded wife (or husband)
