Knowing my clients and what makes them tick is great fun – and key to all the gorgeous, laid-back and personalised ‘from scratch’ ceremonies I create, choreograph and deliver!

Connecting with your chosen Celebrant before your day makes your ceremony so much more special. So, since I’ll be firing you a HEAP of questions and focussing on YOU from hereon, here’s a bit about me also…

A Celt, with Irish, Spanish and Welsh heritage, I also have West Indian, Australian and English family. I’m ‘Ma’ to a gorgeous teen and finally married my silly, soft-hearted beardy in 2023; he calls me ‘the eternal optimist’ in spite of my occasional arsy-ness!

Travelling, eating(!), good dramas, music, reading, comedy and a daily beach walk are my loves. I was into Techno and a nightclub DJ back in the day, and even sang in a band. I still love gigs and festivals.

My mad cocker spaniel keeps me fit and  laughing out loud every single day. I’m loopy about him! Actually, I absolutely love animals of all kinds.

I eat a vegan diet and live and work as sustainably as possible. Although I’ve been through the mill in life, I’m alive thanks to a gifted kidney, so I’m recycling personified and very into staying healthy!

My  qualifications include a BA (Hons) in English Literature and an MA (Distinction) in Irish Poetry, so I am great with readings, poetry and writing.

26 years of teaching and lecturing English in London, Venezuela, Beijing, Hong Kong and Wiltshire mean I’m hugely experienced in planning, organising and presenting, as well as pastoral care and support.

These all are massively useful Celebrant skills not covered much on shorter Celebrant courses!

Since training in 2016 with the award-winning Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, I regularly update my skills and willingly mentor other Celebrant colleagues.

Many talented fellow Celebrants are friends of mine – we cover each other’s backs and share good practice. This offers clients security as we can stand in for each other if needed. This was invaluable during the pandemic!

I’m also a qualified Aromatherapist, so essential oils can be a meaningful part of any ceremony   – just ask me!

It’s been a total honour to be given both South West and UK Best Celebrant Awards from the most respected Industry bodies (TWIA and Guides For Brides). These awards were the direct result of brilliant client reviews, for which I’m so thankful.

I embrace all colours, creeds,  orientations, neurological needs, races and cultures with open arms and zero judgement.

Truly, I love people and their ‘stories’ – which I LOVE to research and recall (often hilariously, with me giggling too!) in a whole range of ceremonies.

I’m more spiritual than religious and – as an Independent Celebrant – I work happily with those of any or no belief.

Born just weeks after my family moved to Wiltshire from County Down, (Northern) Ireland, I was raised with my immediate younger  brother and sister. This is a photo of us with our beautiful mum, Josie,  a fantastic Irish singer. As the eldest of six children, with two sisters via my birth father and a brother via my step-father, I’m very much part of a blended family!

The black and white photo is my brother and me with our lovely Nana, Ethel, on our first ever trip to the seaside.  Don’t we look thrilled that the tide was out in Weston-Super-Mare? Not so ‘Super’ that day!

Thankfully, vitamin sea is always nearby in Falmouth, a town which is fun, friendly and vibrant… a bit like me! Living in Celtic Cornwall is fabulous although I still love a trip ‘Up Country’ from time to time.

Ana has been incredible from start to finish. From the moment we first chatted (over Zoom due to distance!) we knew we wanted her to be our celebrant.
She picked up on such tiny details just from our conversations and created the most personal ceremony script. She was a huge comfort and massive help and support on the run up to our wedding. As we travelled from the midlands, she even went to our venue to get some footage to share with us so we had better idea of the layout of everything which was incredibly helpful.
Thank you so much Ana for being such an important part of our wedding day!

Ana was absolutely amazing when we decided to renew our vows after 10 years. She put us at ease as we didn’t know where to start and made it so personal with voice/ video calls right in the middle of covid. On the day she was nothing but professional making it all so special including our 12-year-old daughter making her and us feel very happy. By the time we had finished, Ana felt like a family friend we’d known for ages. The hand-fasting was an amazing touch too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤

We loved having Ana as our celebrant at our wedding in July. Ana made everything personal, she put us at ease and had lots of wonderful ideas to make our day extra special. This was our 3rd date (due to Covid) and Ana was very accommodating and travelled all the way from Cornwall for us. The day wouldn’t have been the same without her! Thanks so much, Ana xx

Ana made our wedding day. She was thoughtful, interested, unconventional, thought of things we would never have come up with on our own. Above all Ana made us feel so comfortable. Our day would not have been the same without her, she didn’t miss a detail even adding a few of her own. If we decided to renew our vows at any point we would have Ana with us again. All the gold stars!
